"When I came to NKU, I was looking for ways to get involved on campus and do community service, though I was planning on transferring schools at the end of the year. I heard about Alpha Phi Omega and attended an info session where I learned how this organization is different from other clubs and Greek life. I pledged, though I didn’t get really involved until the following semester. By the end of the year, I was hooked and decided not to transfer schools, APO being one of the main reasons I didn’t. Not only have I met a ton of awesome people through this organization, but I also now have a great group of friends who are constantly supportive that I otherwise would have never met. I have participated in a lot of fun service events, as well as developed leadership skills by holding two officer positions in the chapter and attending several leadership workshops held by APO at sectional, regional, and national conferences. Attending conferences every year is a unique experience to this organization. I have developed friendships with members from other chapters all across the country by going to sectionals and regionals. Alpha Phi Omega has made my college experience unforgettable, and it will be something that I stay involved in even after graduation."
